2021 ILEA Winter Equity Institute
Founded by three Women of Color higher education professionals, Career Killing Moves is a digital storytelling platform that centers the experiences of Women of Color in colleges and universities. This session was designed for decision makers who are committed to cultivating inclusive and equitable working environments. Presenters shared insights from existing research on leadership, mentorship, affinity spaces and their roles in retaining Women of Color in academic affairs and student services. Institutional leaders learned strategies they can implement to improve the retention of Women of Color on their campuses.
