PCC is proud to welcome Dr. Lee Roe to the team as Academic Program Manager. Roe brings over 27 years of experience in a combination of higher education, youth development, violence prevention, and mentorship and has assisted and equipped youth, adults, and institutions to be successful in their desired pursuits.  Prior to joining PCC, Roe served as the Director of Rise Academy at Chicago State University.

“As a first-generation college student of color who experienced the barriers and inequities that exist for degree completion, I am compelled to work with institutions to create systemic change that breaks down the barriers to college completion,” said Roe.

In starting his time with PCC, Roe also shared a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

Roe earned his Bachelor’s degree in Leisure Studies-Program Management from the University of Illinois at Champaign, Master’s in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership-Higher Education Administration from Governors State University.
