The Partnership for College Completion (PCC) periodically hosts Community Conversations to discuss the policies, changes and challenges impacting Illinois students, families and communities’ access to quality higher education opportunities and degree completion.
Past Community Conversation events centered around topics of equitable funding and higher education affordability. This upcoming event focuses on a recent hot topic effecting the higher education experience: racial diversity on campus after the Supreme Court’s decision on affirmative action in admission practices.
Attendees of this event will receive a brief on the history of America’s education system, learn about the reasons why it is essential to continue to advocate for racial diversity on college campuses, and hear from students about their experiences and what their campus is doing to ensure equity, inclusiveness and racial diversity on campus.
