Empowering and equipping Illinois college students to advocate for greater equity and inclusion at their institutions.

Student Advisory Council

The Student Advisory Council (SAC), launched in March 2019, with student leaders from colleges and universities across Illinois coming together to learn about and advocate for greater equity and inclusion at their institutions. Many SAC members are enrolled at colleges and universities that are active in the Illinois Equity in Attainment initiative (ILEA).

Student Advocate Board

The Student Advocate Board launched in January 2021 to provide an opportunity for Illinois students to weigh in directly on advocacy efforts for an equitable funding model for Illinois’ public universities. The board is composed of Illinois college students that meets 5 times between September and May, providing feedback and direction at key milestones of PCC’s equity campaign. In between meetings, the Student Advocate Board is called on to participate in actions to advance the Illinois Equitable Funding campaign.

Notice

Beginning in fall 2021, the Student Advisory Council will merge with the Student Advocacy Board so that interested students will have access to the efforts of PCC from both a policy and practice-oriented perspective.
