The Partnership for College Completion welcomes Alejandra Villa-Moges to the team, and has promoted Jonathan Lopez and Mike Abrahamson.
Villa-Moges joins PCC as Policy Manager, managing the research and data team’s completion of projects, and identifies areas for new or further research that drives forward PCC’s impact toward its mission.
Lopez has been promoted to Associate Director of Finance and Operations, overseeing PCC’s budget, grants, compliance, human resources, and development operations, ensuring that resources are aligned with the organization’s goals.
Abrahamson has been promoted to Director of Policy and Research, a role responsible for setting and managing the organization’s policy efforts to be as equity-based, strategic, and student-centered as possible.
Alejandra Villa-Moges, Policy Manager

Alejandra Villa-Moges is an educational advocate and policy professional with a strong background in community-rooted advocacy and data analysis.
Alejandra brings a decade of cross-sector experience, having begun her career in student-facing roles as an educator and as a coach. More recently, she worked as a research and policy specialist at a Chicago community-based organization, where she led research efforts on postsecondary policy and practice, looking into the impact of those on Latinx students’ college enrollment and completion. There, she cultivated partnerships across advocacy, research, and education, to advance postsecondary success for students. She has also contributed as a research and data specialist to projects across topics, collaborating with organizations on equity-centered research and analysis projects.
Alejandra holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
Jonathan Lopez, Associate Director of Finance and Operations

Jonathan Lopez is a strategic finance and operations leader with 16 years of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through strategic planning, financial stewardship, and operational excellence.
In his nine years at PCC, Jonathan has grown into his current role as Associate Director of Finance and Operations. He manages a multi-million-dollar budget, and leads financial oversight, compliance, HR, and development operations, ensuring that systems and resources are aligned to support the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability.
A DACA recipient and first-generation college graduate, Jonathan earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Northeastern Illinois University. He also serves as Board Treasurer of the International Latino Cultural Center and Co-Chair of the Illinois DREAM Fund.
Mike Abrahamson, Director of Policy and Research

Mike Abrahamson has been with PCC for six years, leading the team that grounds PCC’s policy and practice work in evidence. As Director of Policy and Advocacy, he helps set and manage the organization’s policy efforts to be as equity-based, strategic, and student-centered as possible.
Mike represents PCC in sharing and furthering PCC’s equitable funding work, and help manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the policy team. He also helps PCC continue to be a workplace that values its employees’ voices and takes and institutes feedback to continually improve culture.
