The Partnership for College Completion welcomes Daisy Copeland to the team, and celebrates the promotion of Jonathan Lopez.
Copeland joins as the new Director of Development, where she will be directly responsible for leading PCC’s fundraising strategies, programs, and proposals.
Lopez has been promoted to the Director of Finance, Operations, and Organizational Effectiveness, and will continue managing PCC’s operational budget and resource allocation.
Daisy Copeland – Director of Development

Daisy brings over a decade of experience to PCC, with an extensive background in securing grants, funding, and institutional support for nonprofit organizations across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining PCC, Daisy most recently served as the Grants Manager for Pillsbury United Communities in Minneapolis, securing a large-scale private grants portfolio and multi-year institutional support for their education, food systems, community health, arts and culture, and community development programs. Before this, she supported several equity-centered nonprofits throughout Illinois and Minnesota in leadership roles and as an independent development consultant.
As a first-generation college graduate, Daisy knows the power of opportunity and persistence, and is excited to amplify PCC’s mission to advance equity in higher education while expanding economic mobility for underrepresented communities.
Daisy holds a bachelor’s degree in Black studies from Denison University. In addition to her role with PCC, she recently joined Mudlark Theater’s Board of Directors.
Jonathan Lopez – Director of Finance, Operations, and Organizational Effectiveness

As the longest-standing member of the organization, Jonathan has 16 years of career experience in mission-driven organizations, nine of which have been spent at PCC.
Throughout his time with PCC, Jonathan has progressed from the associate level to his current position, where he manages a multi-million dollar budget, along with the systems and resources used to support the organization’s long-term sustainability and overall mission. In addition, Jonathan handles PCC’s compliance efforts, human resources, and overall development operations.
Jonathan earned his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Northeastern Illinois University as both a DACA recipient and first-generation college graduate. In addition to his role with PCC, he currently serves as Board Treasurer of the International Latino Cultural Center and Co-Chair of the Illinois DREAM Fund.
